Publisher Funcom and developer Rock Pocket Games have unveiled their upcoming first-person cosmic horror title Moons of Madness. The title is set to arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC during Halloween season.

Moons of Madness mixes exploring Mars in the not-so-distant future with a sizeable pinch of lovecraftian horror. The title is also set in the same universe as Funcom's Secret World Legends which, itself, has a fair degree of mystery and lovecraftian elements.

In Moons of Madness, players step into the shoes of Shane Newehart, a technician stationed at Orochi group's secret research base Invictus. His simple job, of just keeping the lights on, alongside a low-level clearance keep him oblivious to the more unusual happenings taking place inside the base.

As vital systems malfunction, people go missing and visions start plaguing him, Shane, and the player, step ever closer to madness. You can check out Moons of Madness' announcement trailer or drop by its website for more info.
