More Content On The Way For The Division 2
Ubisoft surprises fans after December's update 12 was presumed the last

Ubisoft has disclosed that there will be more content for The Division 2 coming this year.
The news was confirmed by the official development team via the Ubisoft subreddit.

Update 12, which was released last December, was said to be the last major update to the game. Ubisoft has back-peddled on that, it seems.
They introduced the new update with this statement on Reddit:
"Today, we are thrilled to confirm that there will be additional content for The Division 2 released later this year! It is your continuous passion and support which enables us to continue to build upon The Division 2 experience, and we cannot thank you enough for that."
The developers also addressed the sudden change of heart to support the game beyond update 12; it was strong player support that drove the new content:
"Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2, but thanks to your continued support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021."
It has not yet been revealed exactly what the update will contain, players "won't have to wait long".
The news confirms statements from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont in a recent quarterly conference call. He said that more content was coming not only this year but also in 2022:
"You're going to see more on The Division in this year and the year after."
It's great to see that Ubisoft will continue to support the game - an example of player passion making a difference to the longevity of a title.
The Division 2 is avalable on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, Google Stadia, and PC.
