In January of this year, a slick looking game, from developer Sinclair Strange, popped up on Steam Greenlight, titled I Want To Be Human. It may have caught your attention due to its hand-drawn art and simple color pallet, and looking at the young developer's deviantART page, it seems he has a knack for design.

Successfully Greenlit a short time after its submission, I Want To Be Human is a gory platformer, following a robot, Hubert, who's jealous of us humans. He doesn't want to be a machine, and his only wish is to be a real, live, breathing person. To make this transformation, Hubert will do anything including dismembering people, killing and collecting human organs.

I Want To Be Human features tons of unique levels with puzzles, dungeons, and modes galore. Moreover, a massive amount of weapons are available to mutilate "those squishy, organ filled hoo-mans," promising a bloody good time.

For people worried about it just being a repetitive gore fest shooter, FEAR NOT! It will be filled up with other yummy platforming treats, bosses, side stories, puzzles and running away from giant experimented hamsters.

Hamsters!? Not quite sure what a robot wants with rodents, but I'm down. Speaking of the unusual, just this week Sinclair Strange released three new screenshots of I Want To Be Human. You can see them below.

Earlier this year, Gabe Newell of Valve said, "Our goal is to make Greenlight go away. Not because it's not useful, but because we're evolving." With this being said, I'm one of those people that's in between concerning Greenlight's existence, and I hate it just as much as the next person when a crappy game makes its way through, but I've discovered a lot of superb games through the system, and I know I'll grieve a bit when it's gone.

Until then, lets enjoy the games that deserve our attention and support those developers that have worked so hard to bring us their snazzy looking titles. One of such includes I Want To Be Human, so go ahead and follow its development on Steam while you're waiting for its October release.
