MultiVersus Season 1 Begins August 15th

MultiVersus is the new fighting game from Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games that pits popular faces from the Warner Bros. library against one another in 2v2 duels. After an early access release in July 2022, MultiVersus will be receiving its first season of content on August 15th. 

The roster includes Shaggy and Velma from the Scooby-Doo franchise, Loony Tunes star Bugs Bunny, Game of Thrones fan favorite Arya Stark, DC Comic's Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and basketball legend and Space Jam: A New Legacy actor LeBron James. Joining the platform fighting game in Season 1 will be Rick and Morty from the hit animated show of the same name. Marty will be available to purchase on August 23rd and is a 'Brawler'-type character, while Rick (who has no confirmed release date) is a 'Mage/Ranged'-type character.

 

MultiVersus is free-to-play and characters can be unlocked by spending Gold (earned by completing matches and in-game challenges) and with the in-game currency Gleamium (which costs real-world money through microtransactions). 

While MultiVersus is Player First Games' first release, the studio has the backing of Warner Bros. and is made up of experienced developers that have worked on the likes of League of Legends, Warhammer, and Disney Infinity.

MultiVersus Season 1 begins on August 15th and MultiVersus is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Epic Games Store.
