Nano Assault 3DS

Nano Assault is a promising new side-scrolling space shooter from the critically recognised third-party Nintendo developer Shin'en. The company has previously worked on many great titles for the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Colour, but are now taking their fight to the Nintendo 3DS for the first time.

The game is a follow on from Nanostay and Nanostay 2, both released on the DS and were praised for their solid gameplay, impressive graphics, and all-round high production values.

Players have been assigned the mission of preventing a deadly virus from wiping out the entire human civilization. No pressure. You’ll do so by navigating 32 pain-stakingly severe levels, each one more extreme than the next. Navigating your way through an intense cellular network, plagued with threats every which way.

Orchestral manoeuvres in the dark

Armed with a decent array of assault weapons it truly is do or die, blasting your way through the masses and navigating through tight ravines, it will certainly test both your aim and your ingenuity. The best scores will be added to a Hall of Fame where they can then be published online if bragging rights is what you’re after. Players can also trade various unlockable items they’ve obtained using the StreetPass feature.

You can pick up your copy exclusively on the 3DS from November 15 in the US and November 22 in Europe.
