Naughty Dog promises Uncharted 2 DLC

Uncharted 2 is currently selling like hotcakes after receiving generally very favorable reviews. So it’s no real surprise to learn that Naughty Dog is already working on DLC, both free and paid-for. And it’ll start to appear on PSN for download before the year is out.

Creative Director Amy Hennig revealed plans for Uncharted 2 DLC, some of which will be available in the next two months:

"We’re working on that now, and what we’re prepared to say is that there will be DLC available before the end of the year. Without going into specifics, it’ll involve new maps, new characters, things like that. Some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable. We’ve got a lot of people on the team working on this stuff, some really cool stuff that people will be excited about. So we’re definitely taking it very seriously."

It was bound to happen but it’s still good to hear official confirmation. The free DLC is likely to be an instant download for all owners who have finished the game and want to expand it in some way. And I’m guessing the paid DLC will also fly off the (virtual) shelves when it makes an appearance.
