NFS Shift 2 Confirmed

Included in Electronic Arts quarterly financial results reports was confirmation that Need For Speed: Shift 2 is indeed on its way, after rumours of its existence have been gaining momentum over the past few weeks. 

 

Shifting up a gear

 

The game is due in the first quarter of 2011, which runs from January to March, and will become the eighteenth instalment of the series in the past seventeen years.

The timing of the announcement is a little strange, given that Need For Speed: World – a PC-exclusive mass multiplayer racing game – has only just been released. Not to mention Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit – a supposedly “revolutionary” entry into the series – will be released in November, just three months away.

While there aren’t many details to indulge in just yet, the game will follow that of its predecessor and focus on simulated racing and arcade racing in equal measures. Stay tuned for the latest on this game and more right here at NoobFeed.com.
