Nightdive Studios Shares Update on System Shock Reboot

Back in March, Nightdive Studios stated that the reboot of System Shock that was put on hiatus would release some time in 2020. Now the studio has released new screenshots and news about the game's Citadel.

In an update, Nightdive confirmed they're working on an "Adventure Alpha" for September for backers. This will allow them to explore the Citadel area freely without any enemies to interact with. Screenshots, shown below, have been provided that showcase the modified area.

Keep in mind these are the original textures and not the final art! Not only will it make the Adventure Alpha more interesting but it will provide the team with a blueprint of how to approach updated art, lighting, level design, etc.

System Shock Reboot is now in development for PC, Xbox One, Mac, and PS4 and is expected to release this 2020.
