Ninja Gaiden Is Back!

Famitsu Magazine is famous in Japan for its information on gaming. It was in its newest issue that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 would be coming to the PlayStation 3. This will be the same game as the Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 which was released back in June of 2008. The PS3 version will contain newer content of course. Content such as new enemies, stages, weapons, and even a new playable character. Ayane from Dead or Alive will be playable in this version of the game. The magazine mentions some PlayStation Network support but does not include any details on this part of Sigma 2.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is being developed by the same team who brought us the first Sigma. Team Ninja. Production and direction will be done by the original Sigam’s Yosuke Hayashi. As for a publisher we have Tecmo, who has published the previous Ninja Gaiden games. With all this said, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 still does not have a release date, but should be hitting the market in 2009. We will keep you posted on  upcoming Ninja Gaiden news.
