Nintendo Direct Reveals New Information about Hyrule Warriors

Nintendo promised to deliver new information about Hyrule Warriors in their latest Nintendo Direct announcement and they delivered. The presentation revealed several new weapons, including Chain Chomp from the Super Mario franchise, familiar locations such as Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Lake Hylia from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Field from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Hyrule Warriors characters will have extra costumes to choose from featured in The Legend of Zelda franchise as DLC. Club Nintendo members who purchase Hyrule Warriors will receive a set of alternate costumes for Ganondorf within four weeks after the game launches. Which leads the last big announcement to be revealed, for the first time in The Legend of Zelda franchise Ganondorf will be playable outside of the Super Smash Bros. series. Ganondorf won’t be the only one with alternate skins as Nintendo teased more bonus pre-order content inspired from Ocarina of Time, Skyward, Sword, and Twilight Princess.
During the stream Nintendo confirmed a new mode called Adventure Mode that that will feature a grid similar to The Legend of Zelda for the NES. Each level on the grid will have unique level conditions that can yield new playable characters, weapons available only in Adventure Mode, and rare items.

Those hoping to play Hyrule Warriors with a friend will be glad to hear that Nintendo’s hack-and-slash game will have cooperative play. Nintendo highlighted that playing cooperatively will reduce screen resolution to support both players actively playing. Hyrule Warriors will support off-television mode for single-player but will not have online co-op.
