Due to lackluster sales and the recent hit in the foreign exchange Nintendo has posted the largest Q1 loss since 2011.

Today Nintendo posted its Q1 2016 results showing its ¥24.5 billion ($232 million) compared to 2015's $78.8 million profit during the same quarter in 2015.
For sales the 3DS was down 7% with 940,000 units sold, 2015 saw 1.01 million 3DS units sold and Wii U sales declined 53%, with 470,000 units sold in 2015 and 220,000 units sold in Q1 2016. So, not good.
Software units fared better with 8.5 million software titles sold for te 3DS and 4.7 million for the Wii U.
