Nintendo's Nintendo Switch Outsold the Xbox One and PS4 in 2018

The Nintendo Switch has been such a success that many have forgotten about the Wii U's failure. With a constant stream of indie hits, ports, and exclusives Nintendo has ensured that gamers have something new to play each month. Now, as reported by Gamespot, the Nintendo Switch has become the best selling console of 2018.

According to The NPD Group, Nintendo's hardware sales increased by 8% and made more money on console hardware than any other company during 2018, with Analyst Mat Piscatella noting Fortnite has boosted the sales of new gamepads and headsets.
