Overwatch 2 PvP Beta Starts Late April, Closed Alpha Coming This Week
Overwatch 2 beta starting next month

Overwatch 2 has been in limbo since its announcement. Coupled with the massive lawsuit from the State of California against Activision Blizzard and the game facing an indefinite delay things were not looking good. Now Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the closed beta for this April and public testing throughout the year.
In a developer's update game director Aaron Keller addresses the lack of communication. With a closed alpha starting this week for Blizzard Employees and pro players.
The biggest issue for Overwatch 2 is the first game. Many have left the title due to the confirmation of its sequel along with no updates and the new 5v5 system as opposed to the 6v6 system, which means pros would have to remove 1 player from the team. Not to mention the builds shown all look like Overwatch 1.5 and not a full sequel. Considering how poorly Blizzard Entertainment's recent projects launched, Warcraft 3 Reforged and Diablo 2 Resurrected, many wonder if history will repeat itself.
