PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Is Getting a Mobile Release

Today Tencent, the publishing company bringing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to China, is creating a mobile version of the game.

Tencent didn't reveal what platforms it'll release PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on but we should expect an iOS and Android release. It also wasn't revealed how the game will be altered to work on mobile devices but we can expect touch-based controls.

Whether it'll come to other regions is yet to be seen. If the mobile version gains traction in China it's likely other regions will get a version of the game. Considering that the game, on Steam alone, sold over 20 million copies and is still in early access we can expect some demand for a mobile version.

PUBG is set to release on December 12th for Xbox One with an early access being provided through Xbox One early access.
