Pro Evolution 2012: Online mode detailed

Konami has detailed the online mode of its upcoming soccer simulator, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012. Among the additions are eight player online matches, a more realistic Master League Online, Facebook integration and smooth matchmaking. "Online is a key element to PES 2012 and we have worked hard to deliver options that enhance both the competitive edge of the game, and that bolster the solo modes in Master League Online,” commented Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH.
The Master League Online maintains a competitive basis, as users guide their favorite club to glory against other users, but a popular option has been adapted to offer a more realistic experience. Team styles can now be changed to benefit the preferred style of play with options to choose a balanced game, physics, speed, technique, set-pieces and teamwork. The use of contractual period also introduced the players and the players may have to be sold if their salary and the contract requirements are not met.
PES 2012 is a game designed to play with and against friends, and now the game offers up to eight people through the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. To complement this, the Community Mode has been improved to give users access to a wider range of opponents. Community groups up to 100 users can be united, and there are bulletin boards for members to pass messages. Similarly, inter-community matches were incorporated to add rivalry between the groups.
The elements of the general online match-making were also reviewed. Players are now more likely to be launched against a rival whose shape resembles their own. Those who disconnect to prevent a loss will also be blocked and players with lower reputations will be placed against each other, the whole online system has been enhanced to provide a smoother experience.
myPES is available as a free Facebook application when PES 2012 is released, and will allow users to share results of games between friends via their Facebook walls. This service will be extended in October to allow people to invite friends for their own competitions, log your results automatically update the league tables and unlocks a number of special awards.
