PS3 Error Fixed
News by Craig Bryan on Mar 02, 2010
Dubbed the ApocalyPS3; the error that shocked a gaming nation yesterday lasted just 24 hours, from midnight March 1 to midnight March 2 and has been strongly linked with a problem in the system's internal clock. Apparently an even-numbered non-leap year threw everything out of whack and eventually fixed itself when the next available date came along. A millennium bug of sorts, 10 years too late.
With that unable to function neither was anything else, including the ability to play games, even offline, as the system didn’t recognise them as genuine games with a copyright licence. This has had gamers fuming and demanding some form of compensation for this sudden and abrupt downtime, not to mention the disappearance of a whole chunk of trophy and save data information.
We here at NoobFeed feel Sony should give away voucher codes for use on the PlayStation Network, not only as a way to say sorry, but also to bring gamers back to their consoles.
