PS4 Has Reached the 100 Million Unit Sales Milestone

The PlayStation 4 has been the most popular system this generation. With exclusive titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Ratchet and Clank, and God of War the system took off since its debut. Now, Sony has confirmed that 100 million units have been sold.

According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, this makes the PS4 the fast-selling home console to ever hit 100 million units, ahead of both the Wii and the PS2 by two months.

This is units sold to retailers and not directly to consumers, but still, it's an impressive number. After 6 years, the PS4 has become the fastest-selling console in history. And with titles such as Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2 on the way, no doubt more PS4s will be sold. Especially special edition consoles.
