Purchase Doom on Xbox One Get the Original Doom and Doom II For Free

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet it looks like Microsoft is trying to convince people to purchase DOOM on Xbox One by offering Doom 1 and Doom 2 for free.

For a short period of time Doom was shown on the Australian Xbox Store with a pre-order bonus offering the first two Doom games for free. This wouldn’t be the first time Bethesda gave copies of older games away for free. Fallout 3 was offered for free for those who purchased Fallout 4 on Xbox One.

Additional Bandai Namco is giving away backwards-compatible versions of Dark Souls with preorders of Dark Souls III on Xbox One and Square Enix gave Just Cause 2 away to entice people to pre-order Just Cause 3 on Xbox One. Perhaps this will become a trend for all Xbox One pre-orders.

DOOM arrives in May for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
