Red Steel 2 MotionPlus Exclusive

According to Nintendo Power, the upcoming game Red Steel 2 will be MotionPlus exclusive, meaning unless you have the required hardware you simply won’t be able to play the game. According to reports from various sources it will be the first game compatible with the new device.

Jason Vandenberghe, creative director, stressed that new games on the system require an added level of sensitivity and is confident it will sell well, "It's a huge risk. We have no idea what the penetration rate for Wii MotionPlus will be. We assume high. We would like it to be high."

Nintendo will surely have higher hopes for their first MotionPlus game after the original Red Steel was somewhat of a flop, selling fairly well but receiving poor reviews from critics across the board. The release date for the game is currently unconfirmed, but the device should be available in June.
