Rock Band Unplugged

Think back to 2007 when Rock Band was released. Did you ever consider the slightest bit that that game would come to a handheld console? Well here we are two years later hearing that Rock Band Unplugged will be coming to the Playstation Portable on June 9, 2009. Rock Band Unplugged is being developed by Backbone Entertainment - who are known for bringing us Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - and Harmonix. Publishers will be MTV Games and Electronic Arts. This portable version will feature 40 tracks, plus more to come via the PC version of the PlayStation Store. 9 of the tracks will be new to the Rock Band series:

AFI - "Miss Murder"
Alice in Chains - "Would?"
Audioslave - "Gasoline"
Black Tide - "Show Me the Way"
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again"
Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk"
Jackson 5 - "ABC"
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks"
3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite"

Modes in Unplugged will include World Tour, Warm Up, and Band Survival. We will also see some character customization thrown in there. As far as instruments go, the game will focus on the guitar, bass, drums, and even vocal regions of the musical world.

A PSP Bundle has been announced that will include a Piano Black PSP, Rock Band Unplugged, the hit movie School of Rock, all for $199.99. You can expect Rock Band Unplugged to hit store shelves June 9.
