Rumor: ESA is Planning A Digital E3 for 2021

Like 2020 2021 still has most of the world in lockdown. Global gatherings are canceled or have strict limits and with E3 getting canceled last year it seems the ESA has been preparing for this year. With a report from VGC stating it'll be digital.

In the report:

While the body has not officially cancelled plans for a physical E3 event, it’s understood that the digital show is now the focus for E3 2021, due to ongoing restrictions around the coronavirus pandemic.

The ESA has been desperately trying to reinvent E3 as more publishers have decided to host their own digital events. With companies like Sony, Bethesda, Nintendo, Ubisoft, and EA deciding to still have booths but host their own digital showcases for better results.
