Back at E3 2017, it was revealed that Metroid Prime 4 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. However, Nintendo has limited information about the project including what studio was handling development. Nintendo hasn't confirmed it yet but rumors are spreading that Bandai Namco is developing the game.

According to Eurogamer, sources have reported to the publication that Bandai Namco Studios Singapore is working on the game in collaboration with Nintendo. It also reported on several LinkedIn pages from the staff at the studio that they are working on "unannounced" projects that will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch. One of which is Ridge Racer 8, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.

This may come as a disappointment as Retro Studios, the original developers behind the beloved trilogy, won't be developing the 4th game. For now, these are all rumors and haven't been confirmed by Nintendo.

Metroid Prime 4 is now in development for Nintendo Switch.
