Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time arrives this fall

Right out of retirement and into the fire. Just another day in the life of a master thief.

 

When Sly will make his return has been narrow downed considerably. Previously given a tenative 2012 release window, developer Sanzaru Games announced on GameSpot's Web show On the Spot that the game will be released this fall.

The game will be the first entry in over seven years. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will see Sly and his team traveling through time, as the title hints at, and meetting with Sly's ancestors.

Thieves in Time is Sanzaru's first installment for the series, which was previously handled by Infamous creator Sucker Punch. Sanzaru's no stranger to the Sly franchise, however, having been responsible for 2010's Sly Collection.

The collection bundled the first three games for the PlayStation 2 -- Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves -- and remastered them in high-definition.
