Project CARS 3 is due to launch this summer, and aims to appeal to everyone

Today Sony officially revealed Project CARS 3. The game got a brand new trailer showing off some truly stunning gameplay. Sony also gave us a release window for the new title, Summer 2020, indicating that it will launch first for PlayStation 4, though it’s likely that it will also come to PlayStation 5.
It was recently revealed that Sony expects all games submitted to them by early July to function on PlayStation 5 and well as PlayStation 4. Given that Project CARS 3 is not only launching later this summer, but is a well known PlayStation exclusive series, the game will almost certainly be available on Sony’s next-gen console.
As reported by GamesRadar+, Project CARS 3 is aiming to be much more than a racing simulator, it wants to grab the attention of as many racing game fans as possible. The game has a completely rebuilt career mode that rewards you for playing the activities you want, without forcing you to take on much else. In this way, developer Slightly Mad Studios hopes to appeal to both hardcore racing sim fans, and casual gamers looking for a fun few hours.
One of the best features in the game sounds like it will be the new Rivals mode. This game mode puts you against the ghosts of other players, which the game pulls from those closest to you on the leaderboard. It’s an ingenious system that keeps you persevering for a slightly better time in a race over and over again, without realising that you’re beating new opponents every time.
We’ll keep you up to date on news for Project CARS 3 as it develops.
