Sony Corporate has released their 2020 annual report, showcasing an overview of the entire company’s progress and future plans. While the PlayStation 4 has sold over 112 million units worldwide, the report notes that PC gaming is still a major competitor and interest. Sony Corporate states that sometime in the future Sony Interactive Entertainment will release more first party games for computers. However, they do not clarify if these would be PlayStation related ports, or new original titles developed exclusively for the PC.

Sony Corporate seems mainly focused on increasing revenue and market share and will likely leave the technical details to Sony Interactive Entertainment staff. This does create a very open timeline, or if this executive vision is even practical. There is also a question of branding and integration: with nearly all of the 112 million consoles having 1-3 PlayStation Network accounts, Sony PC games may or may not be rolled into the PlayStation umbrella.
