Splatoon 2 Getting a 3.0 Update This April, New Expansion Announced

Splatoon 2 is getting a brand new update this April that will add a huge amount of content for players to enjoy.

Confirmed through Nintendo's Nintendo Direct announcement the new update will include:

100+ of new gear
New Stage Piranha Pit, Camp Trigger Fish, and Wahoo World
Rank X

Rank X is a new rank that goes beyond S+. Once players meet specific conditions players will be invited into the mode. It's likely this is a highly competitive mode for the most skilled players.

Nintendo also confirmed a new single-player expansion called OctoExpansion where players take control of Agent 8. Stricken with amnesia Agent 8 must travel through a variety of areas and will launch this Summe 2018. It's available now for pre-order with exclusive Octo items for anyone who does.

Splatoon 2 is now available for Nintendo Switch.
