Split/Second PSP
News by Craig Bryan on Jul 08, 2010
It was announced today that Disney Interactive Studios are set to take their high-octane racer Split/Second to PSP and PSP Go later this year.
The game has become a huge success on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and iPhone since its release back in May, giving gamers the chance to not only race their opponents, but also trigger huge blockbuster-esque explosions in the heat of battle. Each time this is done it dramatically changes the entire race - taking out other drivers, defacing the track, and opening up new routes in which to gain an advantage.
Split/Second PSP will have specific controls for the handheld with “unique handling and controls.” There will also be new tracks and challengers made just for this version, as well as four-player local multiplayer.
Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing for Disney Interactive Studios, is excited about the collaboration, “Split/Second has become a hit with fans of racing and action games, and is the perfect fit for the PSP system,” “The explosive track altering features and fast arcade racing will have PSP system players worldwide playing it on-the-go or at home.”
