Super Monday Night Combat launches early due to "wonkiness"

Super Monday Night Combat, the free-to-play sequel to 2010's super-less Monday Night Combat, which was previously undergoing an invite-only beta, is now, much to everyone's surprise, available for all to play on Steam. Though it's still technically in beta.

Uber Entertainment, the folks behind Monday Night Combat, was taken by surprise at this unexpected launch, but has chosen to just roll with it. The cause of the early release, as Uber Entertainment's Ekanaut explained it thusly on their forums:

"We did a bunch of invites over the weekend and there was some wonkiness on how the messaging went out with lots of confusion which resulted in more silliness. We decided to just open it up. There will be an announcement about it on Steam soon."

So there you have it: wonkiness, silliness, and confusion are to blame/thank for this delightful little surprise. Might as well go grab, and subsequently play some Super Monday Night Combat, then, like I'm doing right now.
