Team Ninja Unveils Ninja Gaiden III
News by David on Sep 17, 2010
Team Ninja and Tecmo hosted an event at TGS behind closed doors and unveiled their latest game, Ninja Gaiden III. No teaser trailer or demo was shown at this private event, save for only a single image. Yup. One image. Team Ninja has clarified that it is too early to show anything else to the public at this point, as they are still early in the game’s development.

Looking at the image above, we know for a fact that Ryu Hayabusa will return as the game’s protagonist (duh). According to Videogamer.com, the image of Ryu about to remove his mask represents a “more human side to the series’ protagonist,” and also pointing out that the blood on Ryu’s face represents “a more bloody experience to Ninja Gaiden 2.”
If I recall correctly, Ninja Gaiden II (the original 360 version) was unimaginably high in blood and gore. So Ninja Gaiden III being bloodier than the previous game is pretty hard to imagine. Anyway, no further details were revealed; not even a release window or what platforms the game will be released on. But as always, we will find out more about it in the near future.
