One image, that's it!?

On top of Half Life 3 Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been one of the most requested games of all time. Ubisoft has continuously explained that the game is still in production despite and now a new image is people teased.

The image from creator of the series, Michel Ancel, showcases a pig on the shoulders of what resembles Venom Snake from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. But I doubt the franchises are linked.
The caption reads 'somewhere in system 4...' but what's strange is that the next line reads "Thanks to Ubisoft for making this possible!".
My theory is that the game was in Limbo, the first game didn't sell well and the franchise has become a cult classic. It's possible that little resources were dedicated to the project, with Ancel working on other projects such as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends. Now with the NX's release date growing closer maybe Nintendo has decided to support the game's development in exchange for exclusive rights. Before you shoot it down remember that the sequel for Bayonetta 2 only happened because of Nintendo, as stated by executive director of Platinum Games Atsushi Inaba.
Rumors of Beyond Good & Evil 2 has spread around the Nintendo prior to this. Ubisoft has had previous exclusive contracts with Nintendo, such as Rayman Legends for the Wii U before it became multi-platform. Plus Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has been cited praising the NX's "easy to use for all gamers".
Like Sony's constant reassurance of The Last Guardian's development Ubisoft has stated on numerous occasions that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development. The original game launched back in 2003 before being rereleased on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2011; so we've been waiting a long time.
