Torment: Tides of Numenera hits Early Access today

It's been a while since the Kickstarter of Torment: Tides of Numenera began and the developers over at inXile Entertainment have been working hard on the title only to release it today on Steam's Early Access program. Backers with more generous wallets had a 5 day headstart. This version offers a good chunk of early-game content, but, as with all Early Access titles, it's still rough around the edges.

This also marks the game's availability for pre-order, the price being that of 41.99 euros or your regional equivalent. It will be very interesting to see how the game evolves as, claiming to be Planescape: Torment's successor does come with a lot of expectations from the players. The developers have stated that as Wasteland 2 was a succes because of the feedback recieved in Early Access, they will maintain a flexible developement schedule in order to make sure they deliver the desired product.
