Ubisoft Adds Experience Boosts To Assassin's Creed Valhalla Post-Launch

The experience boosters from Assassin's Creed Odyssey is now in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Valhalla had a lot of positive changes from previous games including the grinding issues from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Many were annoyed how this encouraged the purchase of experience boosters to avoid the heavy grind but Assassin's Creed Valhalla resolved this by providing generous amounts of experience. But in an insidious move, the experience boosters have been added to Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Testing this out the generous experience provided through Assassin's Creed Valhalla remains the same. However, those looking for a boost will need to pay out $10 for either silver or experience and $12 for both.

Now, this isn't new as Ubisoft has been doing this for all its games. Even when Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched gamers could purchase items such as resources and performance-enhancing weapons and armor easily. This experience booster just makes it more vexing knowing someone can buy their way to the top in more ways now.

Many can make the argument that you don't need to buy these and you're right but this is a dangerous step if you start accepting it. This is a publisher's way of testing how far they can push that line and once you get used to something like this the next push could see AAA games becoming more similar to free-to-play mobile titles.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
