Venom Game Leak Reveals Major Story Connections to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3

Important story points from a different Venom game have been leaked, potentially changing how Marvel's Spider-Man 3 is told. The Venom project is still in progress, and the goal is to have it out in 2027. That's interesting on its own, but what people really want to know is how this game changes the story. Spider-Man 2 and the third big game in the series seem to be linked by Venom in a big way

According to leaks, Eddie Brock is most likely going to play the lead role in the Venom game. There aren't many other choices left, like Flash Thompson's Agent Venom or a new host. This fits well with the history of comic books. Eddie Brock fans want him to look more like the comic-book version. The plot with the symbiotes will be different from the one in Spider-Man 2.

It is said that Cletus Kasady, who is back as Carnage, is the main bad guy. This information had already been found in company records. Ant-Venom is also expected to show up, but not in the form that was linked to Peter Parker before. Eddie Brock will have full control over it, and it will be a scarier version based on the books. This could be very important to how the story goes.

This is important because the Venom game is meant to connect Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3.

A lot of changes were made to the game after Insomniac pulled the plug on the planned Spider-Man 2 DLC. It was originally planned to come out in 2025 as a shorter game like Miles Morales. It is said that leftover stories about Carnage, the Spider-Verse, and other things were moved to the Venom project and Spider-Man 3. It looks like this title, which used to be less important, is now a much bigger part of the whole series.

This clearly affects Spider-Man 3. Carnage is the main threat in the Venom game, so Peter Parker is likely to play a big supporting part. At the end of Spider-Man 2, Peter quit being New York's main Spider-Man. But in the Venom game, he would return to play. That's what you can expect from Peter Parker and Eddie Brock. Also, Venom and Spider-Man are likely to fight before they join forces. Against Venom's story is where things really get interesting.

As of Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker can already use Anti-Venom. The report, on the other hand, says that Eddie Brock's Anti-Venom will be very different. The game has the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, Carnage, and other possible threats from other worlds. It's meant to be the real end of the series.
