WoW: Mists of Pandaria Launch Events Announced

Today (9/4) Blizzard Entertainment announced official global launch events for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. It will be available on September 24th from key retail partners in 12 countries to those gamers who want to be the first to get their hands on it. Many members of the WOW development team will be attending the launch events; meeting players and signing copies of the game.

The official US launch event will take place near Blizzard headquarters, in Southern California. This event and others taking place around the world will include special guests, giveaways, activities, and entertainment. Such entertainment involves a "challenge-mode challenge" between Blizzard employees and members of the community.

Gamers attending the official launch events have the option of purchasing the standard edition or the retail exclusive collector's edition. The collector's edition includes a behind-the-scenes DVD, soundtrack CD, a 208-page artwork book, and other goodies. A Digital Deluxe edition will also be available.

For those of you unable to attend a launch event, the game officially releases on September 25th with many retailers releasing the expansion at midnight.
