If your television supports HDR you cannot use it while the PlayStation VR headset is connected.

The PlayStation VR is going to launch soon and Sony released a very detailed FAQs covering most of the technical details regarding the unit.

The headset comes with a processing box used for 3D audio and where the headset is plugged into. This splits the HDMI signal from your PS4 into twoparts, one goes into the headset and the other to the television to see what you're seeing.

The box supports up to 4K resolution at 60fps but not HDR. This means if you want to use the HDR feature on your television you're going to plug your PS4 directly into the television instead of the processing unit. Those without HDR capable televisions don't have to worry about this.

In addition wireless headphones will not work with the 3D audio.

PlayStation VR launches on October 13th. For more information regarding the timed exclusives for the PSVR click here.
