Digger HD

So I should probably start with this.  Digger HD is not for me...BUT I can appreciate what this game and what it offers for fans of these kind of games.  Digger HD is a remake of an old puzzle game where you would dig around collecting jewels, causing money bags to drop, collecting power ups and avoiding enemies.  With plenty of modes such as arcade, survival and even a retro mode there's a lot here for players to enjoy.  With two ways to beat a level (by either collecting all of the jewels or destroying all of the monsters) there's deffinitely a lot of time to be spent playing this game.

Graphically the game looks great and as you can tell from the retro mode it's a massive upgrade.  The music is great and I admittedly found myself bobbing my head along with it at times.  You see...the problem isn't with the game.  Honestly it's a really great remake.  Updated graphics and plenty of game for fans it's totally worth the purchase.  Digger HD just isn't a game for me.  While I can see people getting into the game and really enjoying it I just found myself getting bored after a while and there wasn't much to keep me going.  Though I will admit I found the retro mode to be much more enjoyable than the other modes, but I'm sure that doesn't speak very well for this remake :P

Either way, Digger HD is a great remake for those who are fans of these type of games.  There's plenty to do and the music is great.  Digger HD will keep you playing for a good while just to master each level and the survival mode will definitelly bring on a challenge.

I would like to thank Ron for retrieving this review for me when I lost it.  Also you'll notice my psn reviews are short because of these games having much less content than a full game.
