Abyssus Guide | How to Unlock the Shotgun

One of the first and most satisfying upgrades in Abyssus is unlocking the shotgun. After beating the Abandoned Temple's mini-boss, you can find this weapon. Proceed to the next chamber after taking out the monster, where the shotgun is hidden off to the side. 

When you gather it, it becomes usable for your upcoming adventures. Although unlocking it is a simple process, understanding how it works and how to leverage its advantages is necessary to fully grasp its dynamics.

The shotgun uses the same six-round ammo pool for both its primary and secondary fire modes. Instead of encouraging long-distance battles, its design promotes aggressive, close-range warfare. 

Unlike most other weapons, the shotgun's primary and secondary modes can be changed to suit specific battle conditions, making it a flexible option for players who like high-impact action.

Reducing the gap between you and your opponents is essential to shotgun learning success. Positioning and movement are important, as they cause the most damage in confined spaces. Playing aggressively when opponents are within striking range is preferable in both fire modes.

The two most crucial configurations for maximizing the primary fire's potential are Full Automatic and Pressure Shot modes. Full Automatic allows for faster bursts of damage and more fluid crowd control by accelerating the weapon's fire rate.

By using the shotgun to achieve a quadruple kill, you can unlock it. With the Buckshot's knockback ability, you can travel 1,000 meters to unlock the Pressure Shot, which stuns adversaries and provides much-needed breathing room in hectic battles. 

It's crucial to exercise caution when engaging in close combat, though, because in the game's most difficult stages, being encircled can lead to swift defeat.

The shotgun is particularly well-suited for the Anchor ability. Because reloading can render you helpless, using Anchor during these periods allows you to swiftly dispatch lesser foes. The ability's timing and AOE help maintain battlefield control, especially when enemies are encroaching from multiple directions.

The effectiveness of a shotgun is also significantly affected by several factors. Certain characteristics of Abyssus really work to the shotgun's benefit, even though they are generated at random for each run. 

By creating shields that help sustain health during close-quarters battle, the Barrier Aspect improves survivability; it works best when used in the primary weapon slot. 

The Frost Aspect is fantastic for the secondary slot since it slows down adversaries by adding a freezing effect. It also works in perfect harmony with the shotgun's amazing power, providing excellent crowd control. The Tentacles (or Ocean) Aspect is quite helpful for the ability slot. 

Tentacles can be used to make up for the shotgun's comparatively poor rate of fire during combat. These tentacles also serve as allies, increasing damage output by utilizing synergy benefits that are specific to certain Aspect sorts.

Charms help shotgun builds become more complex. The Gun Meets Face and Bandage charms for this weapon are unique and stand out, even though they were created at random. Gun Meets Face enhances the shotgun's range-focused design by dealing more damage to opponents within 10 meters. 

However, Bandage provides an additional layer of durability in the midst of combat by offering a slim chance to nullify incoming damage. When combined, these charms increase the shotgun's offensive and defensive capabilities, giving it an even more dependable option for action-packed situations. 

In the end, Abyssus' shotgun is best suited for aggressive, well-planned battles. Quick reflexes and knowledge of adversary location are necessary due to its restricted range, but initiative is rewarded by its powerful burst damage. 

When you combine it with the right Aspects, Charms, and abilities, it becomes one of the most dangerous weapons in the game. Those who are brave enough to use the shotgun effectively, whether rushing into a group of enemies or taking down a huge monster, might die.
