ARC Raiders Guide | Best Talent Tree Builds for PvP & Loot

A practical, no-nonsense build guide to master the ARC Raiders talent tree from day one.

Game Guide by Ornstein on  Nov 01, 2025

ARC Raiders rewards smart talent choices as much as sharp aim. This guide walks you through talent tree fundamentals and six effective builds so you can manage stamina, move efficiently, breach faster, and secure more loot without sacrificing survivability. Whether the focus is PvP skirmishes, high-value urban runs, or event chasing, you will find a build that fits how you like to raid.

Important Notes on the Talent Tree

Since the game is not finalized, there may be changes to how many talent points you receive, where specific talents sit, and even what certain talents do. Treat the builds here as strong starting points that can shift with balance updates.

None of these builds are mandatory; use them as inspiration, tailor them to your own style, and adjust as the talent tree evolves. If significant updates arrive, expect to revisit talent choices rather than locking in forever.

Talent Tree Overview and Assumptions

A 48-point layout is assumed—16 points in each tree—to outline “complete” examples that still feel flexible. If you receive more or fewer points at launch, scale these recommendations up or down while keeping the build’s identity intact.

When possible, unlock In-Round Crafting I and In-Round Crafting II in the Survival tree so you can craft during a round, open up extra recipes like a basic bandage or Flamethrower/Hairsprayer Torch, and salvage more efficiently.

When crafting is unavailable or weak, lean harder into Mobility and Conditioning to shore up stamina and defense.

Balanced Build

The Balanced Build gives you a bit of everything without leaving major value on the table. Pick In-Round Crafting I and In-Round Crafting II so you can craft mid-raid instead of relying only on batteries or basic fabric to heal or recharge shields.

In Mobility, prioritize talents that reduce stamina costs while moving, raise maximum stamina, and recover stamina while walking. Add the sprint opener that grants a free dodge on cooldown to help you reposition reliably.

In Conditioning, take faster Breach to speed up doors with breach bars, storage cabinets, electrical panels, robot breaches, and arcs. Sprinkle in talents that reduce loot noise, improve crouch recovery, enable in-round looting, and expand carrying capacity. The result is a smooth, forgiving setup that rarely feels stuck, especially in the midgame when stamina and utility are at a premium.

Scout Build (Competitive PvP Focus)

The Scout Build is a competitive spin on “balanced,” putting points only where it matters when your life is on the line. Emphasize Mobility: reduce stamina costs, raise maximum stamina, and invest in vaulting and sliding.

Sliding is crucial because it briefly lowers your hit profile, is slightly faster than running at first, and enables micro-bursts of stamina recovery while you cross open areas. Unlock the second tier of Mobility, grab faster crawling while downed to escape and extract as a solo, and improve dodge efficiency and distance.

Against arcs, dodge timing is especially valuable; it helps avoid the explosive from a Pop, the shot from a Rocketeer, or the pulse from a Leaper. In Conditioning, reduce slowdown from medium and heavy shields so you can still clear gaps, reach cover, and make jumps that sluggish builds miss.

Add a perk that grants a small stamina burst when you take damage to avoid the exhausted penalty and reach safety. Finish with low-HP stamina recovery for clutch escapes. The whole package lets you out-maneuver enemies and control engagements.

Loot Goblin Build

If the goal is to haul as much value as possible, the Loot Goblin Build pushes deep into Survival with deliberate trade-offs. To reach Security Lockers near the top of the tree, invest early and accept lower maximum stamina and fewer defensive picks.

Security Lockers add a distinct loot source in many POIs—not game-breaking, but consistently worthwhile—so it can be ideal to dedicate one squadmate to this role.

Combine in-round salvage and In-Round Crafting II to turn junk into useful gear mid-run, reduce the penalties from being over-encumbered, and expand inventory capacity.

Take the reveal perks that occasionally uncover two items at once and reveal them faster; pair that with faster Breach in Conditioning and you become a loot pipeline. A touch of Mobility—climb and vault faster, plus modest stamina and max stamina—keeps you moving through buildings briskly while you vacuum resources.

Parkour Build (Max Mobility)

The Parkour Build shines on vault-heavy, indoor-leaning maps and complex urban layouts beyond the Server Slam starter city. Invest deeply in Mobility to vault much faster, vault with little or no stamina, and chain actions fluidly.

Increase Wall Leaping to extend mantling reach so you can grab ledges from farther away and stitch together moves others simply cannot. This improves building-to-building routes and pairs beautifully with tools like the Drop Hook, letting you traverse and mantle with ease.

With cooldowns and stamina management in your favor, you can cross the map quickly to chase special events like the Harvester, urban cache spikes, or dense probe clusters. Round out the build with bottom-row Conditioning for reduced shield weight and faster crouch movement, accepting that you are giving up some HP recovery and survival perks to run laps around the competition.

Turtle Build (Defense & Recovery)

The Turtle Build leans into Conditioning for maximum resilience while maintaining core Mobility picks that cut stamina costs and increase max stamina. Extend the incapacitated state so you have more time to crawl to an extraction zip or await a pickup in squads.

When you breach, generate more resources, making your interactions more rewarding. Reduce the equipped weapon’s impact on carrying capacity to free extra inventory space.

At the top of Conditioning, secure a clutch low-HP regeneration perk on a cooldown that automatically restores health up to a threshold when things go dire.

Layer this with stamina on damage taken, a free dodge after your shield breaks, and other recovery tools, and you get a build that excels in loud areas, frontline breaches, and longer firefights where you expect to take hits but refuse to go down.

Brawler Build (Melee Specialist)

The Brawler Build is a melee-first curveball that becomes surprisingly potent with the right Conditioning talents. Reduce melee stamina costs, increase melee damage against arc robots, and at the top tier, instantly destroy small arc units—Tick, Pop, Turret, and Wasp—with a single melee hit.

While most people fight at range, melee brings underrated advantages; during prior tests, melee could bypass shield damage reduction and hit HP directly. If that behavior changes at launch, it is still brutally effective against small and some medium bots, especially if you manage stamina and movement well.

In PvP, collapse the distance, abuse dodge windows, and swing before enemies stabilize their aim. In PvE, pick targets wisely; you will not melee Hornets or Rocketeers often unless you can reach them with Drop Hook, coordinate a “wolf-pack” dive, or set up a Showstopper moment. In squads, combine this with a Scout for control and a Loot Goblin for economy to cover bots, players, and progression all at once.
