If you're having trouble finding Oil in ARK Survival Ascended's cold zones, you can gather large amounts safely in the Coastal Areas. Underwater farming is efficient and very PvP-safe, making it an excellent option for early and late resource collection.

Locating the Blue Coral
You'll require some starter equipment before you start farming. Pack a Pickaxe and a Scuba Mask in ARK Survival Ascended.
Navigate to any map and go towards the Oceanside Water regions. Enter the water, then search for the specific types of Coral structures. You're primarily looking for blue Coral, which may take some time to recognize if you're unfamiliar with its appearance.
You must locate the various underwater structures. You will have Kelp, which is blue, but don't pick that one. The structures you are searching for are blue Coral fragments of ugly, rocky outcroppings. Blue Coral deposits are your primary source of Oil.

Harvesting Methods and Tools
You can harvest these blue coral structures with your Pickaxe, but not all contain Oil in ARK Survival Ascended. If you strike a blue Coral with your Pickaxe, you'll usually get around one Oil per structure, along with other simple resources.
Ankylosaurus is one of the best blue Coral harvesting choices. It harvests much more than manual harvesting and has 10-11 Oil per formation, even without increasing levels. It also possesses excellent oxygen resistance, allowing it to stay underwater for a few minutes and swim at a relatively good speed.

Dunkleosteus is more desirable for underwater resource collection. These animals are ideally adapted to the deeper sea environments and can farm vast resources, such as Oil from blue Coral clusters.
Harvesting Strategy and Efficiency
Riding an Ankylosaurus causes oxygen depletion to be slow, allowing you to stay underwater longer to farm. You can spend about 40-45 minutes moving slowly along the shoreline and comfortably harvest several thousand units of Oil.
You will get more resources if you invest points in your creature's melee damage ability to get more Oil per hit.
Managing Inventory
As you're out harvesting, you'll also harvest other things besides Oil in ARK Survival Ascended.
You can remove unwanted items from your inventory to balance weight, allowing you to continue harvesting. This enables unrestricted movement underwater and Oil collection.
Advantages of this Method
This offshore Oil farming method has several advantages over conventional Oil gathering.
First, you do not have to make a hazardous trip to the cold areas that generally contain Oil deposits.
Two, you do not have to go through PvP zones in ocean waters, so you do not lose your gear or supplies as much.
Third, the process gives you continuous, renewable access to Oil without relying on advanced base designs or hazardous expeditions.
