Accessing the Skill Tree

You can find the skill tree in your inventory, located in the upper right corner under a new red tab.

The skill tree displays various branches, each leading to unique abilities that can be unlocked and used in different situations, such as riding creatures or farming resources.

Unlocking Skills and Earning Skill Points

To unlock skills, you need skill points, which are earned by reaching milestones. Milestones must be completed in a specific order; you cannot skip steps, regardless of difficulty. Each skill costs three skill points and can be leveled up three times.

Unlocking a skill alone is not sufficient; you must level up skills multiple times to progress further in the skill tree.

Abilities and Skills Overview

There are two types of skills: active and passive. Passive skills are automatically equipped once leveled and require no additional action. Active skills must be dragged into your hot bar and selected like an item to be used.

The inner nodes of the skill tree are always passive skills, while the leaves at the end of each branch are active skills.

Passive Abilities

Passive abilities are automatically applied once unlocked. Some of the notable passive skills include:

Hotblooded increases your natural health regeneration by 300%.

Bloodlust grants 30% movement speed for 5 seconds when you kill an enemy with a melee weapon.

Barbed Blades give your metal swords and pike attacks a 5% chance to cause bleeding, dealing 5% of the target's maximum health as damage over 10 seconds.

Heavy-Footed reduces fall damage by 30% and knocks back enemies within 10 meters when you suffer fall damage.

Smoke Magician extends the duration of smoke grenades by 30 seconds, instantly breaks you out of any trap, and drops aggro from creatures while you remain in the smoke.

Mounted Opportunist provides a 15% chance for your mount to instantly restore 10% of its maximum stamina when it kills an enemy.

Essence Eater gives your mount a 10% chance to gain 5% increased damage for 20 seconds, stacking up to three times when killing a creature.

Experience Killer increases your mount's experience gain from kills by 30%.

Bonded Taming grants a 30% imprint bonus to creatures you tame.

Imprinter makes imprinting on creatures you are raising 10% more effective.

Speedy Harvester grants 5% movement speed per stack for 20 seconds when harvesting resource nodes, stacking up to five times.

The Midas Touch gives a 6% chance to turn a harvested resource node into gold, which has increased health and yields more resources.

Well-oiled Machine reduces repair costs of items and structures by 30%.

Strong Back reduces the weight of structures in your inventory by 30%.

Mass Production provides a 6% chance to craft twice as much ammunition.

Active Abilities

Active skills must be placed in your hot bar and selected to use. The current active skills include:

Curse Reflection reflects 50% of the pre-mitigated damage you take back to your attacker for 4 seconds.

Spirit Rush grants 100% movement speed and allows you to phase through wild and your own tamed creatures for 15 seconds.

Spectral Mount makes your mount spectral for 15 seconds, rendering it unforgettable by wild creatures, ignoring all stamina costs, and preventing forced dismounts.

Twin Imprint allows a targeted ally to share your imprint bonus for creatures you have raised for 60 minutes.

Tracker enables you to track enemy players, tames, structures, and resource nodes within 80 meters for 60 seconds.

Telekinesis lets you access inventories, pick up dropped items, and toggle structures within 30 meters for 60 seconds.

Abilities in PvP

Active skills are extremely useful in PvP circumstances. Although you must give up a hot bar slot, using a different hot bar can overcome this disadvantage. Tracker is useful for locating enemy bases, while Twin Imprint allows multiple players to ride boosted creatures. Mass production enables increased ammo crafting, which is useful in combat.

The upper tree, which leads to Curse Reflection and Spirit Rush, is particularly effective for foot PvP. These active abilities, along with strong passive skills, provide major advantages.

Effectiveness and Future of the Skill System

The skill system requires substantial effort to progress, especially on unofficial wipe servers where progress can be lost.

However, the strength of these skills makes reaching milestones essential.
