This guide covers how to set up automated farms for Yazhen and Jincao once you reach Wuling City.

These plants are essential for making medicine, but farming them requires you to unlock Hydroponics from the Wuling Tree first. This technology allows you to connect a water intake directly to your Planting Unit.

Finding the Flowers

You can find these flowers across Wuling City, but a fast travel point near a bridge in the valley is a reliable spot. Cross the bridge to find a group of Yazhen in Arknights: Endfield.

If you head back to the fast travel point and walk up the stairs to the right, you will find Jincao. You only need to pick one of each to start the duplication process in your base.

Setting Up Water Intake

Before you can farm, you must build a Fluid Pump on a ledge overlooking water. Use pipes to lead the water into your base.

Water pipes move four times faster than standard transfer belts, so a single water line can easily supply three or four different farm setups. Use a Pipe Splitter to divide one main line into multiple machines without running out of pressure.

The Plant Duplication Build

If you just want to build up a large stock of the flowers themselves, use this layout. Place a Planting Unit with the water intake on the side where your pipes are coming from.

Put a Seed Picking Unit next to it, but make sure it faces the opposite direction. Connect them with transfer belts so they feed into each other in Arknights: Endfield.

Place an Electric Pylon to power the units and a Protocol Stash one block away for storage. When you put a Yazhen or Jincao into the Seed Picking Unit, it creates seeds for the Planting Unit.

The Planting Unit grows two flowers; one goes back to the seeds to keep the loop moving, and the other goes into your stash.

The Powder Production Build

To make medicine, you need to turn these plants into Yazhen Powder and Jincao Powder. The setup is similar to the duplication build, but you will add a Shredding Unit one block away from the Planting Unit. Connect the output of the Planting Unit to the shredder in Arknights: Endfield.

One flower turns into two powders, so you should use at least two or three conveyor belts leading from the shredder into your Protocol Stash to prevent a bottleneck. You can then copy this entire build and place it next to your first one to handle the second flower type.

In Wuling City, pipes are designed to run above transfer belts, so you can lead water into your machines without blocking your item paths.
