Finding the Genji Shield is a big task, but it is one of the best items you can own. It gives you three powers at once. It keeps your magic shields up all the time. It stops every bad status effect, even death. It also heals you when enemies hit you with fire, ice, or lightning.

How to Find the Shield
You must go to mission M7-6-6 called The Determined Recruiter. This path opens after you finish all of Yuffie's missions in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.
This mission is very hard, so you should wait until you are strong to try it. You are looking for a rare enemy called the Magic Pot. He looks like a small purple creature in a yellow jar.

Preparing for the Magic Pot
If you do not have the Magic Pot on your DMW wheel yet, he will give you that first. You will have to find him a second time in the same mission to get the shield. Before you start, you must put four specific things in your slots.
First, you need Gil Toss. You get this by finishing mission M4-4-4. Next, you need Costly Punch. You can make this or find it in a mission in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.
Third, you need to hit for 99,999 damage. You must wear the Brutal item or the Genji Glove to break your damage limit. If your punch is not strong enough, use the Battle Stance first to boost your power.
The last thing you need is Octaslash. This is the special move for Sephiroth. To make it show up more often, buy the Octaslash Materia from the shop in Gongaga. In the new game, you can save the move and use it when the pot asks for it.

Getting the Prize
Enter mission M7-6-6 and run around until the Magic Pot shows up. Do not hit him. He will ask for the moves one by one. Use Gil Toss, then Costly Punch, then any hit that does 99,999 damage in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.
Finally, use Octaslash. If you do all four things in the right order, he will be happy and leave you the Genji Shield.
