In Crisis Core: Reunion, Zack can use a special stance once he gets the big sword in Chapter 6. This is a bit like how Cloud fights in other games.

In this pose, Zack moves more slowly but hits much harder. He also takes less damage from enemies. It is important to know that you can only reach 95% skill with this sword. The game will not let you hit 100% before it ends.

Skills You Get as You Improve

When you first get the sword, your skill is at 0%. You still get three good moves right away. Strong Attack lets you hit very hard while in the stance.

Enhanced Guard blocks 80% of the damage from hits. Necromose gives you back a little magic and energy every time you win a fight in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.

As you use the sword more, you get better perks. At 23%, you get Damage Limit Break. This lets you do more than 9,999 damage with one hit. At 47%, you get Barrier Piercing. This lets your attacks go right through enemy magic shields.

How to Gain Skill Points

You have to show you are good with the sword to gain points. You can do this in three ways while in the stance. You can block a hit from an enemy.

You can kill an enemy with a heavy swing. You can also kill an enemy using a yellow magic move in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.

Raising this skill takes a long time. You only get a tiny bit of progress for each action. The game also stops you from gaining too many points in one fight. You can only get about half a percent each time you go into battle. You will have to fight many times to reach the 95% cap.
