DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Guide | Best Single-Target Damage Build

A fast boss-killer setup for clearing Road Of Regal Wretches rewards.

Some Rampage Roads in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined are built around AoE clears, while others throw tough single targets at you. The Road of Regal Wretches is the single-target road, so the goal is clear: deal damage, open hard, and finish fights before the boss can get comfortable.

This guide shows you how to make a clean loop with Divide, Multifists, and constant turn-feeding so you can beat bosses and get all the rewards.

Main Idea Behind This Build

The reason this team works is that your Hero is already worked up and ready to use Divide when the fight starts. After that, your allies keep giving your Hero turns and buffs, which makes Multifists fire over and over again.

The Skeleton Swordsman Heart is the secret sauce because each hit gets stronger, which makes multi-hit skills hit even harder.

Set Up Items That Make the Opener Blow Up

Put the Numen Heart and the Skeleton Swordsman Heart on your Hero. The Numen Heart starts you off in a Worked Up state, so you can go right into Divide on your first turn. The Skeleton Swordsman Heart increases damage as hits keep landing, which is a great fit for Multifists.

Vocation Choices for Every Member of the Party

Set your Hero to Champion so you can use Multifists over and over. Pair it with Martial Artist to easily and effectively boost stats that help the Champion role.

Put Aishe on the Dancer in Destiny. The main thing to do is to keep Muscle Dancing on your Hero. Aishe can also use Pass The Torch as a Luminary in a few tight spots, but the default plan is to give dancing buffs every turn.

Most of the time, run Maribel as a Luminary. Pass The Torch is what keeps the damage loop going. Keep Druid on Maribel so that Frizz Cracker can finish a fight when he needs to.

Use Sir Mervyn as a Paladin mostly to get more stats. Make sure Druid is always available as the main utility so that Omniheal and Frizz Cracker are always ready.

The Turn Loop to Get Rid of Single-Target Bosses

Before each fight, have Aishe cast Muscle Dance on your Hero. Next, tell Maribel to use Pass The Torch on your Hero. If Divide is ready, trigger it on your Hero's turn, and then use Multifists. After that first burst, keep the loop going with Muscle Dance, Pass The Torch, and Multifists. Do it over and over until the boss falls.

Examples of Boss On the Road of Regal Wretches

The whole story is the opening against Dragonlord. When the right hearts are equipped, Divide plus Multifists hits like a truck, and the fight can end before the boss gets going.

The same loop works against Malroth. The damage happens quickly because Divide is online early and Multifists keeps adding value with each hit.

Choices for Survival and Cleanup

Some bosses can bring your party's HP down to 1. Sir Mervyn can use Omniheal to bring everyone back to full when that happens. If healing isn't needed, Sir Mervyn can also use Frizz Cracker to do more damage to one target.

When you fight The Lord Of Darkness, treat it like any other check for a single target. Keep the same loop, keep an eye on your HP, and only use Omniheal when you have to. Damage is still the most important thing, and Frizz Cracker is a great finisher when support turns are free.
