To handle the challenges in Emberdale, you must prepare for heat and powerful magic. These encounters take place within the Burnmont during the Past era.

Glowering Inferno

When you face Glowering Inferno in the Burnmont, focus your energy on skills that deal high damage to a single target.

You should have the Hero spend most of the time using support moves to keep the team steady. It is a good idea to have the Hero use Let Loose frequently to gain an advantage in this fight.

Finding the Fire Spirit

After you finish things at the mountain, go to the village of Emberdale. You need to clear out the monsters attacking the town to move the story forward in DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined.

Visit the house belonging to Gaffer, which is west of the local church. Go to the second floor to trigger a scene and pick up the Conflagration Key. There is a chest nearby with a Mini Medal for you to take as well.

Exploring the Volcano

Head back to Burnmont and leap into the central crater to reach the lower levels. If you have the Ultimate Key, you can grab treasures on several floors. On the fifth floor, you will find a Fire Blade, but you should wait before putting it on.

The third floor holds 1500 Gold, and the first floor contains another Mini Medal plus a Magma Staff. Use your Conflagration Key on the first floor to reach the deepest area. Stop at the statue of the Angel to heal your wounds before the big fight in DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined.

Fire Spirit

The battle with the Fire Spirit is the final test in this area. You should put on gear like the Dragon Shield or Dragon Mail because they help you survive fire attacks. It is also smart to set up a Magic Barrier so your team can resist spells more easily.

Once the spirit is gone, go back to Emberdale for a scene. Finally, return to the peak of the mountain and use the portal to get back to the Shrine of Mysteries.
