Here's a guide on the best Starting Class in Dune: Awakening.

During your playthrough in Dune: Awakening, you can unlock all class trees and use any class abilities you desire. Class trees are, however, unlocked at different stages in the game, so you have to choose the most optimal starting class in the first place.

Your initial choice will dictate what you can do in the starting part of the game and how well you'll be able to endure the dunes.

The Best Starting Class

The best starting class in Dune: Awakening is the Bene Gesserit. Bene Gesserit class offers two abilities that simplify melee and let you easily traverse the open sands on foot.

The early stages of the game can be overwhelming, but with the Bene Gesserit class and some specific abilities, you can easily pass the problematic sections of the game.

Abilities

The first ability you should unlock in Dune: Awakening is Compel, which pulls your target to your location but makes them stand still for a few seconds, making them completely defenseless.

This allows you to kill your target easily and is particularly useful against shielded opponents attacking you in melee range. As the game progresses, you will encounter enemies in pairs or more. You may quickly dispatch one of the enemies with your rifle, then finish off the second enemy with Compel.

The second is Bindu Sprint. This skill allows you to move forward at a tremendous speed, so you can travel through open sand without much risk of being swallowed by a sandworm and your loot with you in Dune: Awakening.

Bindu Sprint drains your stamina, so the more moisture in your meter and the more stamina you have, the more you travel. You can explore the world and find other Class Trainers with these two skills.

Understating Class Trees

There will be three types of skills in Dune: Awakening, which are differentiated by their shape for each category. You will be able to understand which character setup works best for you based on your playstyle.

Abilities are represented by a diamond shape or a square with an edge on its side. You start with 2, but once you complete the fourth Fremen trial, you can have 3.

The techniques are octagonal and come with a pretty huge bonus. You can use three at once.

Passive is indicated by circle shapes, and they are always active passive bonuses. The only condition for this is that if you have skill points invested in them, you can have as much passive as you want.

The skills you use on your character are not permanent in Dune: Awakening. You can Respec your skill tree every 48 hours. This will restore all your skill points and allow you to re-allocate your abilities, techniques, and passive skills.
