Reaching the maximum level of 200 in Dune Awakening is no small feat, requiring a total of 458,603 XP from Level 0. While the journey becomes increasingly challenging after level 140, with XP requirements jumping to 13,126 XP just for one level by level 200, there are several efficient methods to accelerate your progression.

This comprehensive guide will walk you through all the proven strategies to level up effectively while unlocking valuable rewards and content along the way.

Main Quest Story Lines

The first and most obvious method is to complete your main quest story, the one with "Find the Fremen." This will take you through all the trials and eventually into the epilogue, and then you should go into the Assassin's Handbook quest line, which has a bunch of similar content.

This will get you a ton of levels, and you'll also unlock really cool stuff while doing so. If you haven't finished this already, make sure you do that.

You'll also notice that there's more than the main story quest line. There are also ones where you join a house, either Harkonnen or Atreides, and you'll get quests that climb along theirs

There are also objectives for completing stuff in the Deep Desert in the different areas like the Hagga Basin, the Shield Wall, and other miscellaneous ones - pretty much a bunch of unique things that you can go ahead and do that you might not have done, like purchasing decorations.

Side Quests at Trade Posts

There are also side quests within the game. These side quests can be picked up at every single trade post, and each is going to have its own side quest to do, so make sure you visit all of them.

Quite simply, when you visit the trading post and enter, you should see a blue wallboard. Interact with it, and you'll accept any contracts it offers.

You can find one in Hagga Basin South, which you can start at Griffin's Reach Trade Post. Then, just to the north, towards the northeast, you'll find the next one, the Anvil, within the Eastern Vermilion Gap. Then, to the north of this, you can make your way to the Pinnacle Station, which is in the middle-North of the map.

Pinnacle Station will also have its own quests for you. Then, to the southwest of this location, you have the Crossroads Trade Post, which is just outside Mesa Terrell's main area, and this will give you a variety of side quests that you can complete.

Each of these locations will reward you with both items, as well as money and XP. This is also where you'll be getting your quests for your classes for Mentat, Trooper, Swordmaster, Bene Gesserit, and even the Planetologist.

There is plenty to do, and every time you complete a quest objective, there's a high chance that it's going to come with a reward. Make sure to keep up your questing, as it's your biggest source of XP.

Location Discovery and Exploration

The next two methods of getting XP actually work if you do both of them at the same time - one is passive, and the other one is a bit more of a grind. The next objective you should focus on is discovering all the locations on the map, like enemy camp icons.

You'll see that when you hover over each region, it displays the count of how many are in that region and how many you've discovered.

Pretty much every time you uncover one of these locations, you're not only going to come here for the intel piece, but you'll note that every time you visit them, you'll actually gain XP just for uncovering the icon so that it's not gray on your map anymore.

This was a great way to get XP, and oftentimes, you'll get between 100 to 350 XP for uncovering some of the more secret locations.

The best advice is to uncover the green icons, which represent the enemy camp, as well as the research station and cave icons. Those also give a ton of XP. You'll also want to find the research stations and uncover those.

Combat XP

The second part of the tip involves actually killing the enemies within all these locations. Now, since you're visiting these locations anyway, a great way to enhance your XP is by killing the enemies, as you'll earn between 12 and 18 XP each time, depending on the enemy's difficulty or strength. This is a great way to gain XP while exploring new areas.

Deep Desert Surveying

The final method you can use to get XP is in the Deep Desert. The way this works is that you'll bring a survey probe launcher and some survey probes.

When you actually survey the map in the Deep Desert, it will uncover the map square by square, allowing you to reveal the entire square. If you zoom in one notch, you'll actually see that it reveals icons of places within that square.

This is great in the PvE area at the beginning of the Deep Desert in the south because every single block will give you 100 XP just for using a probe launcher, so it's really great, and it allows you to find these locations a lot simpler. You can also do it for the squares going north, but in most cases, there's not going to be a lot to find in the desert.

When you want to scan a region of the Deep Desert, you might find some things hidden - there might be crash ships or other locations. If you send the probe launcher, it will give you 25 seconds to be in this area.

You also have to be careful because other players will see this scanning probe in the sky and know that somebody is scanning this area.

As soon as you've completed it, you'll get 100 XP in surveying the area, and it will also reveal icons in this region, marking things that you didn't know existed, as well as uncovering the map for you.

Maximizing Your Leveling Efficiency

These are pretty much all the ways that you can level up efficiently if you intertwine all of these methods together within Dune Awakening.

The key is to combine quest completion with exploration and combat to maximize your XP gains while progressing through the game's various systems and unlocking new content along the way.
