Techland's Dying Light: The Beast arrives in the genre to add flavour to the zombie horror genre. This edition features enhanced parkour, survival, and enthralling melee combat, set in the wild, dystopian Castor Woods.

This guide will cover how you can get your hands on the Remote Trap Controller.

The Cable Guy side quest becomes accessible once you complete the main story mission Power Gambit. It's a quest that appears pretty early on in the game, and it is bound to restoring electricity in Old Town.

First, you'll want to head to the substation to reactivate the power. Once that is done, head back to the town hall. After reporting back, you'll get a reward in the form of a Remote Trap Controller.

It's a device that allows you to activate traps around Old Town remotely, and it makes it so much easier to deal with a large horde of enemies.

The trap will include electrical devices, spike setups, and explosive charges. They are an essential part of the game as you'll be able to follow the infected into travel zones, giving you a chance to escape without the use of weapons or stamina.

Since the traps glow under UV light, they will also provide you with visibility when moving through dangerous areas at night. Because of its numerous uses, the Remote Trap Controller is useful later on in the game as well.
