The Frostbitten Key is a valuable item in Grounded 2 that unlocks access to rare Mint Globs.

To find the key at the Ice Cream Cart and open the hidden treasure chest, use this guide.

To survive the frigid conditions you'll face on this quest, you must prepare adequately before you start in Grounded 2.

Conditions for Preparation

Make sure you have the necessary supplies and equipment before entering the Ice Cream Cart area.

You must defeat bees to acquire the Fuzzy Armor Set, which is essential for this expedition. You will continuously experience freezing effects without this armor, which will seriously impede your progress.

You should also gather Spicy Shards from Spicy Candy that spawns randomly throughout the game world.

These consumables reduce the chill effect when eaten and can be placed on your hotbar by pressing Z and selecting your preferred number slot in Grounded 2.

The shards help maintain your movement speed, which decreases when you become cold.

Accessing the Ice Cream Cart

Two routes lead into the Ice Cream Cart area. You can either enter through the Ice Cream Cone itself or climb up the exterior structure.

The key location is more easily accessible via the climbing approach in Grounded 2.

You can jump up onto a platform by navigating to the right side of the main Ice Cream Cone structure.

Leap onto the Ice Cream Cone itself from here. To see in the gloomier areas ahead, ensure your torch is ready.

Locating the Frostbitten Key

You will find a deceased character when you descend into the Ice Cream Cone structure. Right next to this body is the Frostbitten Key.

Collect the key and prepare to navigate to the opposite side of the Ice Cream Cart complex.

Navigating to the Treasure Location

Travel to the opposite side of the Ice Cream Cart from where you found the key. Watch out for Scorpions hiding underground in this area.

Consume another Spicy Shard to maintain full movement speed during this journey in Grounded 2.

Climb up the Popsicle structure, then ascend the wooden platform to reach the green Ice Cream section.

Cross the coolant pipe while avoiding more Scorpions in the area. Pass through the grates and move counterclockwise around the structure.

Unlocking the Secret Path

Before accessing the treasure chest, you must complete a puzzle involving icicles. You need a Level Two Omni Hammer for this task.

Locate the icicles in the area and break them using your hammer. Breaking these icicles causes a fan blade to move slightly, revealing a secret pathway.

This newly opened path contains 500 Science Points and leads to an encounter with a Mega Milk Molar in Grounded 2.

Defeat this enemy and continue through the secret passageway that appears at the end of the area.
