Interviewing - Sarwar Ron

People by Tanya on  Aug 01, 2009

Welcome back to my interview blogs. This time our guest is Ron, the CEO of NoobFeed.com. Ron has been one of the most active and friendliest figures of this site. It’s impossible to find a blog where he hasn’t commented. He is known as Sarwar Ron in the local communities and a very popular figure indeed. So, let’s not waste time and head to the interview session.

Tell us about yourself and share something you usually don’t with general people.

I’m a very simple person tend to lead a very simple life and I believe everyone has equal rights to live up their lives.

What type of games you like the most and name few of your most favorite games?

I’m a strategy game freak. Real time, City building, Turn based anything you name. But I also enjoy playing FPS and RPG games too. They don’t take much of your time and they are full of entertainment. C&C and Knights of honor, FIFA, Call of Duty4, Prince of Persia ..many more.

I take care of the development portion and few other technical stuff along with Marketing both online and offline.

It was serbsta who came up with the idea more than a year ago and it was some offer I couldn’t refuse :)

Which part  of this site you enjoy the most? You seem to be very active when it comes to user blog!

Yes, I do enjoy reading blogs but I enjoy reading reviews the most. It’ll be review, forum and blogs if I place then in the priority basis.

Name one user from NoobFeed community; who you think is an ideal user. You have to name only one even if there are several.

LOL. This is very hard. The standard Ilias and canana have set, is hard for any user to reach including me. But the contribution of Kelaids has been remarkable. Not to mention you and Shindiggah who has brought us a good amount of signups :)

Share something from your personal life? Your hobbies, activities, family etc.

I was forced to leave home when I was 13, so my activities are mostly professional and down to earth related. I have a small school for the poor children and I do a lot of traveling whenever I get chance.

You are a very popular among Bangladeshi gaming community. Why did you decide to go for an international site rather than a local community?

I never consider myself popular. I haven’t done anything worth mentioning for Bangladeshi gamers. But, yes. I do have future plans for them. Let’s just say everything is on process :)

And, who has said I’m not part of any local community? I’m the Community Manager of one of the biggest and most popular sites of Bangladesh. We have one of our very active members Nirvana as a Moderator there. Not to mention biZZy, who is the top poster of that site.

NoobFeed had quite a lot of publicities at the local newspapers when it launched. Why it stopped? And, is it true that NoobFeed is going to have a TV program very soon? :D

Initially we did allow few of the news papers to publish gaming news from our site, but for the language barrier the translations weren’t coming properly. Later on we realized that Bangladesh doesn’t provide the appropriate crowd for an international gaming community site. Maybe in future we’ll get back to the publications more often.

Nothing has been finalized for the TV program yet. Everyone will be informed when we’ll have one :)

What’s your future plan for NoobFeed?

Get few more features up and definitely lot more users.

Thank you for your time Ron. Tell us anything you feel like saying to the readers. And, have a nice day :)
You are most welcome Tanya. Enjoy using NoobFeed.com and share its name with your friends :)
